On Nobel Day 10 December, for the fifth year in a row, "Little Nobel Day" was also celebrated in Umeå, where doctoral students and postdoctoral fellows from the Departments of Epidemiology and Global Health, Nursing and Community Medicine and Rehabilitation get the chance to present their work in a conference format.
The event this year was completely digital due to the covid situation. In total, about 35 people participated. Among them were nine presenters, two of whom presented from Namibia and Ecuador respectively.
There was also room to exchange experiences in small groups about how Corona has affected one's research and work environment. All presenters were awarded a diploma and a book. Little Nobel Day is organized by the Umeå Center of Health Science (U-CHEC).
