NEWS The new Aurora examination centre on Campus Umeå will be opening in May 2025. The building will have premises for examinations and teaching, as well as general study areas.
In December 2022, construction work began on a new building adjacent to the Aula Nordica, with the aim of offering the university’s students modern examination facilities with a good working environment.
The inauguration of the building, named Aurora, is now approaching and is planned to take place at the start of the 2025 autumn semester, but the doors of the building will be opening in mid-May for students to visit.
The Aurora premises will be used for both examinations and teaching, and general study areas will also be available in the building. Written hall exams will be relocated to the new building at the end of the spring semester.
Aurora is sited in a central location on Campus Umeå, adjacent to Aula Nordica and Universum. The building is easily accessible from pedestrian walkways and cycle paths, as well as through the indoor walkway, Campuskorridoren. See Aurora in Mazemap.
