During 20-22 October, Professor Stuart Allan from Bournemouth University (UK) will be visiting Umeå University. He has been invited by the Department of Culture and Media sciences and HUMlab, and will hold a series of open lectures on science journalism.
Stuart Allan is a professor of journalism at Bournemouth University, United Kingdom. His areas of expertise are Online news during times of crisis, conflict and war reporting, especially in the roll of citizen journalism, Science Journalism and how nanotechnology is represented in the press, Journalism history with a special interests in certain reportorial forms and practices have become conventionalised, as well as Young People, citizenship and digital media.
