Do you hold creative ideas where AI could take part and seek to expand them with additional perspectives? Are you seeking expertise beyond your field? TAIGA is pleased to announce its upcoming series of pitch events in September. This provides an interdisciplinary platform for you to present your research ideas to a diverse audience, aiming to find collaborators or gain insights into further developments. TAIGA will provide support to projects focusing on AI and its development, applications, implementations and impact on society throughout the process, from idea conception to project proposal, with follow-up events during autumn. The setting is relaxed and collaborative, allowing for presentations and discussions. Lunch will be offered to participants.

TAIGA is a cross-faculty center at Umeå University with the aim to promote transdisciplinary research and education in Artificial Intelligence (AI), its applications and consequences, and to create a strong international research profile for Umeå University that uses the full interdisciplinary breadth of the university.
We do this by creating a faculty-wide structure for transdisciplinary AI research and education collaborations. We provide venues, activities and support to inspire, challenge and guide researchers, teachers and students who want to develop AI related research. Furthermore, we create and maintain national and international collaborations and networks in AI related research and education. TAIGA is a university-wide entry point for the interested public and external parties and creates interactions with the surrounding society and contributes to shaping societal debate and policy development regarding AI for the Good of All.
