Åsa Fällman is the assistant director of business at Umeå Kommun and will replace Marie-Louise Rönnmark on the European CBRNE Center board. Åsa has previously worked as a researcher and served in various manager positions with the Swedish Defence Research Agency. Most recently she held a director position at GE Healthcare. Sofie Jacobson is head doctor responsible for preparedness at Region Västerbotten. Sofie replaces Tomas Gustavsson on the board. Additional members of the board are Pro-Vice-Chancellor Katrine Riklund from Umeå University, Andre Appelblad from The Swedish National Fortification Agency, Toni Dufvenberg from The National CBRN Defence Centre of the Swedish Armed Forces, and Åsa Scott from The Swedish Defence Research Agency.
The European CBRNE Center has experienced an unusual spring semester, as so many other work places, filled with changed plans and web based interactions. “We are looking forward to next semester and are excited to see what the EU budget will look like, especially in terms of research and innovation programmes. We are also hoping for more opportunities to collaborate and engage within the national CBRN initiatives. I look forward to getting together with the board and work to reach the goals we have set for the center, and possibly find new opportunities for development.” says Center Director Per-Erik Johansson.
