New basic course in higher education pedagogy from spring 2020

UPL will launch a new basic course in higher education pedagogy spring semester 2020. The new basic course consists of five weeks of study.
Today the basic courses in higher education pedagogy consists of Learning in higher education (2,5 weeks) and Teaching in higher education (2,5 weeks). From spring semester 2020 these will be replaced by ONE new basic course of 5 weeks. You will find important information about the consequences of this change below.
If you have previously taken one of the two basic courses presently available
If you have only taken one of our two basic courses (Learning in higher education or Teaching in higher education) you will have the opportunity to complete your five weeks of education in higher education pedagogy by applying to take the basic course not already taken. During autumn 2019 the courses Learning in higher education and Teaching in higher education will be given in English to allow as many as possible to participate.
Registration for the autumn courses is already open (see course links below). Please note that on registration you must state what semester you took the other basic course.
If you have started but not finished a basic course
If you have started but not finished one or both of the present basic courses, Learning in higher education or Teaching in higher education, you should contact the person in charge of the course autumn 2019 as soon as possible in order to arrange how to supplement and finish the course you started earlier.

If you haven't taken any of the basic courses but want to start this autumn
If you haven't taken any of the basic courses mentioned above but want to register for a course starting autumn 2019 we ask you to apply for the online course Teaching and learning in higher education that starts October 24. The course is five weeks and finishes in April 2020. The course is given in Swedish fall 2019 and English 2020.
Another alternative is for you to wait and apply for the new five-week campus based course that starts during spring 2020. The course is given in Swedish spring 2020.
