New action plan for a safer and more inclusive study and work environment

The Vice-Chancellor has decided on a new university-wide action plan for systematic work environment management and active measures, valid for the years 2025-2027.
The action plan includes overarching risks, obstacles, and development areas, as well as goals and targeted measures to improve the study and work environment at Umeå University. The aim is to support the organization with preventive and promotional work, aiming to create a positive study and work environment free from discrimination.
New for 2025-2027 is the strengthened student perspective, where issues related to student study environments have been highlighted more clearly than before.
The action plan has been developed in consultation with faculty offices, representatives for the unions, and in collaboration with the organization for work environment and equal opportunities including ALV-kommittén and the coordination groups for sustainable study life and sustainable working Life. It is valid from 1 January 2025 to 31 December 2027.
