National competence network centre in register research and a Data Access Unit

From 1 January 2018, Umeå University together with six other institutions of higher education form a consortium to lead a national research infrastructure, the Swedish National Data Service.
Umeå University has now been appointed as a national competence network centre in registry research. Also, a Data Access Unit at the Umeå University Library is being established to provide local support in managing all kinds of research data.
Xavier de Luna, professor in Statistics, is one of the specialists Umeå University has chosen.
