More article copies in digital format - free of charge to request
NEWS
The library is changing its ordering channels for article copies, which means that significantly more articles will be delivered in digital format.
The arrival of significantly more article copies in a digital format is a major and long-awaited change for many who usually place orders. In addition, the cost of the article copies disappears as it is from now on free to order, so neither the individual student, the department or the research project will be charged and there will thus be less administration around the copies.
Another change is that the order can be followed in the library's search tool. When the article copy is available, the requester receives an e-mail notification with a link to the copy. It doesn't matter where you are in the world, and regional affiliates have the same access to the service.
– We are continuously working to streamline the media supply to the university, so it feels very exciting to be able to broaden our article service to researchers, teachers, and students - especially since we are the first in Sweden to join this service! says Petra Svanborg, head of the Media section.
– The library already has a large selection of journals and databases through our own subscriptions and can order paper copies of articles we do not have access to ourselves. With the new service, the range will grow, the delivery will be digital and, as a further improvement of our service to the university, we will also make the orders free of charge, says Petra Svanborg.
