The new student website has been launched to simplify for your studies with us.
ImageAlekzandra GranathThe University constantly works to improve its websites, and today, a whole new student website has been released. It is designed to make it easier for you to find the information you need and improve your digital experience.
“Our students mean a lot to us, and with the new student website, we want to ensure that they have access to the resources and tools they need to succeed in their studies,” says Cathrine Norberg, Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Education at Umeå University.
The first thing you will notice when visiting the new student website, www.umu.se/en/student, is the new appearance. It has a new navigation structure that makes it easier to find information, and an improved search function.
“We’ve listened to feedback and many students have been engaged in the process,” says Gunilla Stendahl, Communications Director at Umeå University.
When you log in using your UMU ID, your schedule will automatically be shown on the start page, just like before. There are also links to your welcome information, course syllabi and literature lists. On the remaining pages, there is information that all students may need together with content applicable to your specific courses or programme. About, for instance, exams, IT support, the Student Health Service, study guidance, studies abroad and how to book a group study room. You get the best experience if you log into the student website.
The University wants to simplify for you to find the University’s information online. The new student website will not solve all challenges, but it will hopefully simplify for your studies. Read more about how the new student website works.
