Internship at Baltic University Programme in Uppsala

The Baltic University Programme's (BUP) Coordinating Secretariat in Uppsala now welcome applications for the position as an intern during autumn 2023. The intern will assist the Secretariat with coordinating projects and organising conferences and trainings for researchers, teachers and students.

The Secretariat coordinates the Baltic University Programme with nearly 100 participating universities in the Baltic Sea Region, cooperating for education and research in Sustainable Development and Democracy. The BUP Coordinating Secretariat is placed at Uppsala University.
The applicant should be enrolled at one of the BUP participating universities (Ueå University is one of those). Since the work of The Baltic University Programme is structured around 10 BUP themes related to sustainable development it is required that the applicant has knowledge of and an interest in the field of sustainable development.

A CV
A motivation letter that includes why you are interested in the position as an intern, previous work experiences and what it is that makes you a good candidate.

Why are you interested in The Baltic University Programme?
What is your experience and interest in the Baltic Sea Region?
Which tasks would you prefer to work with at the BUP Secretariat?
How would you like to contribute to the programme?
Would the internship be a part of your studies?
During which time period would you prefer to be an intern?

The period, duration and workload of the internship will be defined individually depending on the intern's interests and skills. The application call is open until 25 June 2023.
Conditions of the BUP internship
The Baltic University Programme provides a workplace at the Secretariat office in Uppsala as well as work management during the internship time. As the BUP is an international programme, the working language is English.
The internship is unpaid and the intern also needs to cover travel, accommodation and living costs.
