The survey aims to provide a better understanding of our international students' experience of studying at Umeå University. The results will be used to improve for future students.

If you are an exchange student or a tuition-fee paying student at Umeå University, you will receive an email on Wednesday 22nd November with a link to answer it. The email subject will be “Help Shape the Future of Umeå University” and it will be sent from the email address student-survey[at]umu.se.
The International Student Barometer, ISB, is one of the largest surveys of its kind and aims to provide a better understanding of international students' experience of studying at a university. Umeå University has participated in it several times before, most recently in 2017, and the results are used for development work. Previous students before you have answered it and helped us improve our services for international students. We hope you will do the same for our future international students.
The survey contains questions about education, reception, study environment and the reasons for choosing Umeå University. It also evaluates what the students value most and whether they would recommend Umeå University to others. The results are compared with other international and Swedish universities participating in the survey this year and will be presented in the spring of 2024.
The International Student Barometer 2023 Autumn Wave survey has been developed and is administered by the International Graduate Insight Group (i-graduate) - an independent benchmarking and research service - and is sent out to exchange students and other international students. The survey opens on 20 November and will close on 18 December 2023.
