The first version of SwedPop data is now released and enables access to historical population data from 1700-c.1910.
Today we announce the first release of SwedPop data. We are launching a beta version of the SwedPop data extraction tool where harmonized historical population data for analysis can be downloaded free of charge.
The first data release includes data from the Demographic Data Base (DDB), Umeå University, the Scanian Economic Demographic Database (SEDD), Lund University and the SweCens database at the Swedish National Archives. At present, swedpop.se offers access to full count data from >70 Swedish parishes in four large regions until 1908 (DDB), five parishes in Scania until 1910 (SEDD) and the full count 1880 national census (SweCens).
