Cases of COVID-19 have increased – keep your distance

Since last week, the number of cases of COVID-19 has increased in the Västerbotten County – particularly in Umeå – and people aged 20–60 are the ones most affected. As this age span basically covers everyone at the University, we need to really remind ourselves and those around us of what needs to be done to prevent further spread of infection.
If you have symptoms of disease – stay at home – even if it is just an itchy throat.
Get tested if you have symptoms. Did you recently get tested and experience symptoms again? Get tested again.
Also remember to take precautions if you receive a negative test result as you could still be a carrier.
Study from home when you can and remember to use Zoom when you need to hook up with others.
Keep your distance and avoid crowded spaces. Microwave queues are no exception.
And last but not least – remember to wash your hands often and thoroughly.
