Furthermore, Cathrine Norberg is well acquainted with first and second cycle level education as a teacher and former faculty programme director, and she has participated as an assessor and advisor in several of the Swedish Higher Education Authority’s evaluations of higher education quality assurance systems.

I have a bachelor’s degree from Umeå, and I am looking forward to coming back and being part of a strong educational and research environment.”
Cathrine Norberg replaces Professor Heidi Hansson, who will step down as Deputy Vice-Chancellor on 31 December 2022.
The term of office for Vice-Chancellor Hans Adolfsson, Pro-Vice-Chancellor Katrine Riklund and Deputy Vice-Chancellor Dieter Müller runs until 30 June 2025. Cathrine Norberg's assignment is valid until 31 December 2025 to ensure continuity in the university management.
