Scholarships for students and researchers to discover Iceland

The Royal Skytteanska Society (Kungl. Skytteanska Samfundet) is offering three scholarships of up to 30,000 SEK each for students and researchers at Umeå University and the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU) in Umeå to support travel to Iceland. Applications are due by October 11, 2024.
These scholarships are intended for travel to Iceland and accommodation during a stay where recipients will either attend classes in the Icelandic language, conduct research in an Icelandic subject, or explore topics related to Icelandic conditions.
While the scholarships are primarily aimed at students, graduate students and PhD researchers are also encouraged to apply.
Application Process
Students must include a supervisor's statement justifying their scholarship request.
Researchers should provide a project statement detailing its relevance and feasibility, endorsed by someone knowledgeable in the field.
Applications should be submitted via email to the Royal Skytteanska Society at camilla.sandstrom@umu.se by October 11, 2024.
