21 million SEK to WCMM researchers for clinical research

Millions in funding to clinical researchers at the Wallenberg Centre for Molecular Medicine (WCMM). The Swedish Research Council and the ALF-committee awards WCMM research at Region Västerbotten and Umeå University.

Oskar Hemmingsson, Department of Surgical and Perioperative Sciences, BRECLIM – En randomiserad studie av lokal behandling mot levermetastaser från bröstcancer. Research environment grant for three years at a total of 12.8 million SEK.
Gauti Jóhannesson, Department of Clinical Sciences, Neuroprotektiv behandling av glaukom– En klinisk randomiserad studie för utvärdering av nikotinamid. Project grant 1.1 million SEK.
Hugo Lövheim, Geriatriskt centrum, Region Västerbotten, Herpes virus and Alzheimers disease. Central ALF project grant of 1.5 million SEK.
Anna Södergren, Reumatologi, Region Västerbotten, Atherosclerosis in rheumatic diseases: Implications of inflmammation, metabolism and treatment. Central ALF project grant of 0.9 million SEK.
Daniel Öhlund, Cancercentrum, Region Västerbotten, Targeting tumor-stromal interactions in pancreatic cancer. Junior central ALF project grant of 1.5 million SEK.
Andreas Josefsson, Kirurgcentrum, Region Västerbotten, Molecular characterization of prostate cancer for optimized diagnosis and treatment. Junior central ALF project grant of 1.5 million SEK.
