NDPIA
MIMS has a long-standing partnership with the Swedish National Doctoral Programme in Infection and Antibiotics (NDPIA), which funded independently by the Swedish Research Council. NDPIA is a joint initiative of infection researchers at the largest Swedish universities.
NDPIA connects research environments studying infection biology and antibiotics through organizing courses, workshops, research visits and conferences that promote scientific exchange and networking of PhD students and postdoctoral fellows. For international events, NDPIA co-funds registration fees, travel and accommodation for its members.
NDPIA is governed by a national coordinator who works with a steering board. Events are coordinated nationally via the Director of Studies from the Swedish partner universities. NDPIA networks internationally with partner universities and institutes in Norway and Germany. Debra Milton, professor at the Department of Molecular Biology, Umeå University, is the national coordinator and Hanna Eriksson, at the same institute, is the project administrator.
