Umeå University researchers can publish open access at no cost in Taylor & Francis journals. Read more about the terms of our agreement with the publisher for 2025 and what it means for you here.
The open access publishing fee (APC, article processing charge) has been pre-paid through an agreement between the library and Taylor & Francis. This applies to open access publishing in Taylor & Francis hybrid journals (“Open Select Journals”) and in their open access journals. Exceptions are journals from the publishers Dove Medical Press and PeerJ and journals on the Faculty of 1000 platform, where open access publishing is not included in the agreement.
Terms and conditions
You must be the corresponding author, i.e., the one handling communication with the publisher and journal.
Your Umeå University affiliation must be stated in the published article.
Use your university email ending with @umu.se. The email domain is used to recognise your eligibility.
The agreement applies to research and review articles. The article types are usually called “Article”, “Research Article”, “Review” or “Review Article” but depending on the journal and subject area, other names may occur. See the respective journal.
The agreement applies to articles accepted by the publisher in 2024 or 2025 (“acceptance date” during 2024-2025).
Your article will be published under a CC BY license, or CC-BY-NC-ND upon request.
The agreement does not cover additional charges, such as page charges or charges for colour illustrations.
