The open access publishing fee (APC, article processing charge) has been pre-paid through an agreement between the library and ACM. The agreement applies to open access publishing in a number of hybrid and open access journals as well as conference proceedings from ACM.
Terms and conditions
You must be the corresponding author, i.e., the one handling communication with the publisher and journal.
Your Umeå University affiliation must be stated in the published article.
You must use your university email ending with @umu.se in order to be identified as an Umeå University affiliated author.
The agreement applies to peer reviewed research articles.
You will be offered a CC BY license as default but can also choose between other Creative Commons licenses.
How the publishing process works
Upon acceptance, you will get an email from the publisher with a link to a form to complete the publishing process. If you have used your your university email ending with @umu.se, the text “This paper is part of the ACM Open Program” should appear in green at the top of the form. If you don’t see this text, do not fill in the form and contact ACM for assistance.
Select “Institutionally Paid Open Access” when asked what rights you want to grant ACM.
You will be offered a CC BY license as default and will only have to make changes in this part of the form if you want to choose another Creative Commons license.
