Umeå University Library consists of three libraries. The University Library, the Medical Library and the Arts Campus Library.
The University Library is located in the Social Sciences building in the middle of campus.
The library has literature in most subject areas and a student textbook collection for all of the undergraduate courses at Umeå University. The University Library has study areas, bookable group study rooms, Learning Space UB, and computer rooms. There are also bookable resource rooms for students who need an extra calm environment or adaptations when studying.

The library has books, journals, and other resources in medicine, odontology, nursing, physiotherapy, and occupational therapy. The Medical Library is mainly intended for students and staff at the Faculty of Medicine and Region Västerbotten but is also open to patients and the general public. The library's bright, open space has many study areas and ten bookable group study rooms.

The library books, journals, and electronic resources are oriented toward contemporary art, architecture, and design. The Arts Campus Library is aimed at students, researchers, and lecturers at the art schools but is also open to the general public. The library has study areas and bookable group study rooms. There is also a bookable resource room for students who need an extra calm environment or adaptations when studying.
