In order to properly establish the project and clarify the benefits of what is planned, it is almost always important to consider the user/patient perspective through, e.g., patient associations. These organisations may find it difficult to participate as partners in projects, but have important experience. Can they participate in other ways, such as advisors or beneficiaries of the results?
In some cases, small and medium-sized enterprises, SMEs, can also provide expertise and solutions as subcontractors and contribute to project results. They can do so even if they are not explicit partners in the project.
