Humlab premises and lab equipment are a resource mainly for staff and students at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at Umeå University. You can apply for access to our premises via your umu card.
New policy for accessing Humlab
As of the autumn semester 2023, Humlab has an updated policy for access to our campus facilities. The purpose is to increase accessibility for the target group that Humlab is supposed to be accessible to.
Students taking courses at Humlab
Students taking courses at Humlab are given access to the premises during the semester of the course. This includes courses arranged by Humlab, in collaboration with Humlab or carried out in Humlab's premises.
If this applies to you, you do not have to to apply for access to Humlab, this is done by the responsible teacher.
Students at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities
Students studying programmes or courses at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities can apply for access. Access is granted one semester at a time.
Students whose studies or work have a strong connection to one of our focus areas or are part of a collaboration with Humlab will also be able to apply for access. Access is granted one semester at a time.
There are no restrictions for staff at Umeå University. Researchers, teachers, PhD students and other interested staff can apply for access and are welcome to visit and use Humlab.
Affiliated researchers automatically get access to the lab.
