Research areas/profiles at the Faculty of Social Sciences.
Social science research contributes to a holistic understanding of the societal context in which technical, natural science and medical research results are used. Therefore, social science research has a dual role; it deepens our knowledge of society and how it changes, as well as helps society understand how to interpret and apply knowledge generated from other fields of science.
The faculty's research has both scientific breadth and depth, delivering results that are both internationally relevant to the research community, as well as contributes to the transfer of knowledge to the rest of society.
