To actively contribute to growth and progress in the region, the Faculty of Social Sciences collaborates in several ways with companies, organisations, schools and the public.

The departments, centres and units at the Faculty of Social Sciences have established a wide-spanning network in society. Researchers contribute with new knowledge and a large proportion of the faculty’s students complete their training or thesis projects at workplaces in society.
The Faculty contributes with well-educated staff to the labour market at the same time as we welcome active professionals from outside the university to teach and conduct research. The faculty also has extensive contacts with schools, childcare, as well as the health and medical care services.
