Here you will find information about how to revise course and education plans.
Revision of course plans established by the program council is decided by the program council. The educational strategy board decides on revision of course plans for independent courses established by the board.
All revised syllabi must follow the university's syllabi regulations, and the faculty has a template for syllabi developed to facilitate the work, see below. Please note that even older plans established according to a previous set of regulations must be updated according to the current set of regulations when revised.
Revision of education plans is decided by the faculty committee. All revised education plans must be adapted to comply with current regulations, see Rules for education plans. Before the curriculum is taken up at the faculty committee, the proposal for revision must:
approved by the current program council
approved by the faculty's quality council
is supported by the Education Strategy Board
Expect the process to take time, at least three months for a minor revision. For a major reworking of the education plan half a year.
A revised course or education plan must be approved and published in Selma at the latest when the application for the course is opened. See times here.
Revisions cannot take effect in the middle of an ongoing education with already admitted students.
When you have finished your current SELMA assignment and it needs to be approved at faculty level, send an email to anna.lundberg@umu.se. Include information about which course or programme it relates to.
