Workshop: How would you look, if you were a plant?
Alex Rosa, one of the participating artists in the Master’s degree exhibition "Meanwhile / Umeå Academy of Fine Arts",is hosting a workshop for all ages on making plant-like sculptures by found materials, in the workshop space. Drop in whenever you want between 12:00 and 16:00.
How would you look, if you were a plant? How would you look if you turned into a tree? Or into your favourite plant? Imagine if you were an imaginative flying, glittering flower. How did you look then? If you were a potted plant, would your leaves then be spotted and what kind of pot would you live in? In this experimental workshop for all ages, we play both practically and in our minds on how we would look if we took a plant's figure. We create plant-like sculptures of recycled material.
About the Master’s degree exhibition "Meanwhile / Umeå Academy of Fine Arts": In stories, the word ‘meanwhile’ transfers us to an event taking place at the same time but in a place offset from the main event. Meanwhile is a signal to raise our attention. We are transported to this other place because what is about to happen there will soon have an impact on the development of the story.
