Time Tuesday 3 December, 2024 at 12:00 - 13:00
Place Galaxen, Sirius

Welcome to the new series called What's up organised by Umeå Transformation Research Initiatives (UTRI) Young Researcher Network. Each session focuses on a new topical issue. We kick off our first event by diving into the sustainable development goals (SDG’s) in a playful way. We offer a light vegetarian lunch!

We hear about the SDG’s all the time, but what do they really mean? During this session of “What’s up” you will have the opportunity to learn more about the SDG’s through a game based approach under the guidance of Pamela Bachmann-Vargas, Postdoctoral fellow at the Department of Geography.

We welcome all early career researchers regardless of research area. A warm welcome!

To participate, please register using the form below. This is so that we can order the right amount of lunch.

About the series

These sessions offer a platform for young researchers from all fields to learn more about research for sustainable development, and to connect with colleagues interested in sustainability. Each session will focus on a new engaging topic. If you are curious about the sustainable development goals in research, regardless of if you think your project includes sustainability aspects or not, this event is for you! We invite you to strengthen your understanding of sustainability in your research as well as meeting other young researchers from different areas to discuss how sustainability is relevant in your various fields. Stay tuned for upcoming sessions in the What’s up serial.
