Place NAT.D.470

Welcome to the series called What's up organised by UTRI- Young Researcher Network. This session will be held during the Sámi week and in collaboration with Várdduo and will focus on the relationship between environmental politics and Indigenous issues. We offer a light vegetarian lunch!

Join us for an interesting session with Dr. Elsa Reimerson, Associate Professor in Political Science. Her research focuses on environmental politics and policy, with an emphasis on collaboration and Indigenous issues. This lecture will explore the relationship between environmental politics and Indigenous issues, and will also highlight two of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): Goal 13, which addresses climate change, and Goal 15, which aims to protect ecosystems and biodiversity.

We welcome all regardless of research area!

To participate, please register before 2 March. This is so that we can order the right amount of lunch: Registration form

About the series

These sessions offer a platform for young researchers from all fields to learn more about research for sustainable development, and to connect with colleagues interested in sustainability. Each session will focus on a new engaging topic. If you are curious about the sustainable development goals in research, regardless of if you think your project includes sustainability aspects or not, this event is for you! We invite you to strengthen your understanding of sustainability in your research as well as meeting other young researchers from different areas to discuss how sustainability is relevant in your various fields. Stay tuned for upcoming sessions in the What’s up serial.
