The International Office and the Center for Educational Development invite you to a webinar about the STINT programme Teaching Sabbatical – a scholarship programme aiming to give researchers and teachers an opportunity to teach at a higher education institution outside of Europe.
Karin Forslund, programme manager at STINT, introduces the programme and gives tips and advice for the application.
Also participating during the webinar are previous STINT scholar Thomas Mejtoft, Department of Applied Physics and Electronics, and future scholar Björn Rehn, Department of Community Medicine and Rehabilitation, who has been awarded a scholarship to teach in USA.
STINT cooperates with selected higher education institutions based in USA, Singapore, Hong Kong and Japan. As a participating lecturer you reside at the host institution during the autumn semester (August–December). The intention is that you teach, either by giving a course themselves or in partnership with a colleague at the host institution.
You cannot apply directly to STINT, applicants are nominated by Umeå University. The International Office announces the programme once a year, during the spring semester.
