Please note the time changes. We start at 9:00!
This day will be a day focusing on the green transition and the goal to make our town, Umeå, a carbon neutral city by 2030. The day is co-organized by UTRI (Umeå Transformation Research Initiative), the Artic Centre and Taiga in collaboration with partners from the Climate Neutral Umeå 2030-project funded by The Swedish Energy Agency (Energimyndigheten).
During the day we will focus on very concrete issues that need to be addressed in order to achieve the goal to become a climate neutral city already by 2030. This target is shared by 100+ cities around Europe so knowledge needed and lessons learned can be applied in multiple contexts. Based on the concrete needs of the Umeå municipality we will investigate what researchers can contribute with to the green transformation using their own expertise to fulfill the needs of the municipality.
