Welcome to join our follow-up workshop on: Umeå’s green transition - research collaborations for a climate neutral city by 2030!
During the day, we will delve into the developments since our last gathering in autumn 2023, and explore the collaborations between researchers and Umeå municipality to continue driving forward Umeå's green transition and achieve the goal of climate neutrality by 2030.
We will begin with Umeå municipality giving an overview of Umeå's carbon emissions and where the greatest potential for impact lies. Following this, we will follow up from three thematic areas from the October workshop 2023. Finally, we will be joined by Professor Lena Neij from Lund University, who will speak about the platform Climate-neutral cities 2030 - Open Academy, a knowledge platform for a local climate transition (taken place in Malmö, Lund and Helsingborg).
