Luis Berríos-Negrón will start by talking about arts research work comparing Puerto Rico’s post-hurricane reforestations and Northern Sweden’s industrial and regenerative forestry. He will refer to a performance he did at the Plant Science Centre titled ‘Canto de cuna para Guataubá’ (Lullaby to the Herald of Woe, 2024) as a sample of that contrast. He will also talk about an ongoing art installation titled ‘Tormentera’ (Refuge, 2023-present) on the island of Møn, which is part of a broad art project titled Hosting Lands taking place across Denmark.
