The Research Seminar Series in Archaeology and Environmental archaeology invites you to a seminar with Tone Hellsten, Västerbottens museum, "The long cairn in Junkboda".
Abstract: In the summer of 2023 Västerbottens museum partly excavated a long cairn in Junkaboda, Bygdeå parish, due to the construction of Norrbotniabanan. The aim of the excavation was to find out more about how the cairn was constructed, possible burials and to date the cairn. We also wanted to find out if there were more features in the area surrounding the cairn. This lecture is a short presentation of the results.
