Teacher’s Guide to Digital History: Using Familia and Tabellverket Online in Teaching
This teacher’s guide aims to inspire teachers to use digital tools to work with historical sources in their teaching. The guide is structured around demographic topics such as nativity, mortality, and other population patterns and contains exercises linked to each topic.
By utilizing digital source materials, such as church records and aggregated population statistics, students can explore local history, place individuals’ lives in a broader historical context, and develop a deeper understanding of how living conditions have changed over time. The guide also aims to strengthen students' critical thinking skills through the analysis of historical data and sources.
