As part of the Umeå European Film Festival, The Arctic Centre at Umeå university is organizing a special screening of the short documentary "Tracks", directed by Kajsa Määttä och Viktor Björnström.
Kajsa and Viktor are two snowboarders from Kiruna who love the long, Arctic winter. But in the last two decades something alarming has happened. They meet the scientist Keith who helps them understand the local impact of climate change, and what the future holds for the winter they have taken for granted.
This screening of the film "Tracks" is accompanied by a presentation and stage discussion with some of Umeå University's Arctic researchers who have contributed to this documentary.
The event is carried out as part of the 10th Anniversity celebrations for the Arctic Center at Umeå University. Don't miss this opportunity to hear the discussions between the Arctic researchers and the filmmakers.
