Reasearch day for the Department of historical, philosophical and religious studies

On Friday October 27, we arrange a research day focused on application writing, aiming at reseachers in all subjects at idesam. Usually, we develop research ideas within our subjects, but we believe that there is a lot to gain by sharing experiences and discussing application writing together across the disciplinary boundaries.

The program for the day is:

10.00-10.15 Fika

10.15-11.00 How to write a successful application – presentation by Lotta Vikström

11.00-12.00 What do successful applications look like? Group discussion based on some examples that will be distributed in advance

Lunch break

13.15-14.00 How do different research funders (VR, RJ, Wallenberg, ERC) work? Conversation with experienced reviewers at the dept.

14.00-15.00 Presentation of new research applications. Drafts are sent to be read in advance and commented on by designated readers from different disciplines in small groups. Register in advance if you want to discuss an application idea.

Post-sem at Rött at 5 p.m.
