The Research Seminar Series in Philosophy invites you to a seminar with Petra Green, "Objectification and its epistemic implications".
Abstract: The text for the seminar is a draft of the middle section of my doctoral dissertation’s second chapter. The focus of the text is to analyze a discussion regarding the epistemic implications of the objectification of women, especially when it comes to how objectification alters the world that the participating subjects aim to understand. I will also address how an objectifying stance can be understood as ideological in the Marxist sense of the word.
