A CALL FOR ACADEMIC RESEARCH PITCHES
As a representation of the academic activities during the "Open up for Innovation Umeå" Day, CU4LS would like to provide a broad showcase of the research performed at Umeå University.
To reach this aim, we would like to invite constellations of researchers who work on a defined topic (e.g., microbe-host interaction, epigenetic remodelling, to give some examples of topics) to pitch an overview of their ongoing research for 5 minutes (+2 minutes questions). The presentation, done by one representative of the constellation, should be focused on the concept and expertise that represent the consortium, not on the work of a single project.
If you are interested in highlighting your expertise to the Umeå Life Science industry, please submit a brief abstract of the topic (max 2 000 characters), listing the name and department of the consortium participants, and the presenter to info.kbc@umu.se with “CU4LS/UBI” as the email subject. The call for academic research pitches is open until 7 February 2024.
A maximum of 6 presentations will be selected for the pitches. Priority will be given to early submissions; however, the CU4LS steering group may select submissions based on their appropriateness to the suggested format and purpose of the session.
A CALL FOR INFRASTRUCTURE PRESENTATIONS - to the attention of Managers, Coordinators, and Directors of research infrastructures at Umeå University and SLU.
CU4LS would like to use this event as an opportunity to showcase the infrastructures present at Umeå University and SLU Umeå in the form of screen slide presentations (max 3 slides per infrastructure). If you are interested in highlighting your infrastructure and revealing your expertise, services, and technology to Umeå Life Science industry, please send an email and register your interest to info.kbc@umu.se with “CU4LS/UBI infrastructure” as the email subject, latest by 7 February 2024.
