The Research Seminar Series in Philosophy invites you to a seminar with Karin Enflo who will speak about Patterns of subjectification.

Abstract: If moral values are subjective, why do people believe that they are objective? Mackie answered this question by pointing to several “patterns of objectification” that explain why people misidentify values as objective. His goal was to explain away the appearance of moral objectivity. In my talk I will ask the opposite question: if moral values are objective, why do people believe that they are subjective? I will answer this question by pointing to several “patterns of subjectification” that explain why people misidentify values as subjective. My goal is to explain away the appearance of moral subjectivity.

All interested are welcome to participate in this seminar.
