Agenda The course is divided into two half days:
Day 1: (April 5, 13:00-16:00, Triple Helix) · Introduction to AI

· How to learn more
Day 2: (April 6, 13:00-16:00, Triple Helix) · Hands on lab with neural nets on structured data: Classification
· Data augmentation
· Hands on lab with images, transfer learning and finetuning – The how and why
Who are you? You work with research at the medical faculty and you think AI could be of interest for your research. Perhaps you already tried some AI tools, or perhaps you are only curious if AI could be useful for your research but have no previous experience.
How to apply? Send an e-mail to anna.lundberg@umu.se no later than Mars 20. In your e-mail, state you name, department and position. Also, write a sentence about what type of material you are interested in applying AI to. This will enable the teachers to adapt the course content to fit your interests better.
The fine print During the course you need to bring a laptop for the lab in day two. You will use a web-based tool in the lab so no particular software except a web-browser is needed. In case you cannot attend, please inform Anna (anna.lundberg@umu.se) as soon as possible. This will enable people on a waiting list to attend the course. The course is limited to the first 25 people to apply. Thecourse is fully booked, we will start a waiting list Friday March 18.
