IceLab affiliate André Mateus, Assistant professor at the Department of Chemistry, will give a talk in IceLab titled ' Functional proteomics of human gut microbiome species' on January 21st at 14:00, in IceLab and through Zoom.
André will cover how the lab is trying to map the function of proteins of microbiome species at scale using a systems biology approach based on proteomics. He will particularly cover their efforts to map what are the targets of drugs, how these species metabolize fibers from our diet, and how the species interact with each other.
