Thomas Hellström, Professor at Department of Computing Science

The latest developments in AI have shaken the foundations of how text is created. It risks drastically reducing the need, ability, and valuation of human writing. Our trust in the written word will also decrease, as a greater and greater proportion of all written text will be AI-generated – and potentially incorrect. In this essay, I discuss these implications, for us humans – and also for AI itself.
