Kristofer is a PhD student in Information Studies at the Department of Arts and Cultural Sciences, Lund University. His PhD analyses publication metadata from the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility. In the seminar, he will present some work he has done for this thesis, which revolves around the geographical mapping of author-affiliations and leveraging Large Language Models to extract structured data from the acknowledgements text. He will also talk about the learning process around programming and open-sourcing from his perspective as a PhD student in the Humanities/Social Sciences.
