Minor Field Studies is a scholarship that makes it possible for final-year students at bachelor's or master's level to carry out degree projects abroad. With the scholarship, you can travel to a low- or middle-income country to collect material for your thesis or degree project. The field study must last for a minimum of 8 consecutive weeks and the scholarship is SEK 30,000. The last day to apply is 15 May.
To apply for a scholarship there are certain criteria you must meet. You must be a registered student at Umeå University, be proficient in English and preferably have basic knowledge of Swedish, be a Swedish citizen or have a permanent residence permit in Sweden. If you are from another Nordic country but not a Swedish citizen you must have been registered in the Swedish Population Registry for at least one year.
