Abstract While the Ethics Guidelines for Trustworthy Artificial Intelligence (AI) released in 2019 and the AI Act in 2021 set the starting point for a European Ethical AI, there are still several challenges to translate such advances into the public debate, education, and practical learning. During this presentation, we will present some of the results of the Erasmus Plus project - Trustworthy AI. In particular, we describe principles and learning strategies to be followed to develop students’ competencies in Trustworthy AI.
Speaker Juan Carlos Nieves Sanchez is an associate professor (Docent) at the Department of Computing Science, Umeå University (UMU). He is the programme Director of the MSc programme in Artificial Intelligence at UMU. He has been serving as an external (Ethical) advisor/reviewer in different EU projects. He has also served as an expert reviewer for different European national research councils.
