This talk will discuss how to model human behaviour and its psychological factors, such as cognitive biases, to explain behaviour during crises. It will show some interactive simulators applied to educating the population about floods, epidemics, or the impact of mobility on climate change. It will also present examples of using simulators or games to teach the general public about Artificial Intelligence.
Carole Adam is an Associate Professor in AI at Grenoble-Alpes University, France. She is interested in human behaviour modelling, focusing on emotions, cognitive biases, and their interplay with decision-making. She designs social simulations and serious games to raise awareness about natural disasters and climate change. Furthermore, she is also very involved in scientific mediation, designing serious games, giving conferences about AI and its biases, and animating an interactive simulation blog.
