The Research Seminar Series in Archaeology and Environmental archaeology invites you to a seminar with Ellen Siljedahl, "When in Rome".
Abstract:
During the academic year 2023-2024, I was the holder of the annual fellowship in Archaeology and Classical Studies at the Swedish Institute in Rome, spending nine months in Rome. I started my year in Italy by participating in the excavations at Bostel di Rotzo, a protohistoric settlement in Veneto, processing the archaeobotanical samples from the site. During the seminar, I will talk about my time at the Swedish Institute and its value for the work with my dissertation and in general for me as an early career researcher. I will also share my experiences from the excavation at Bostel di Rotzo and describe how the results will be integrated into my dissertation.
