Academic freedom and open science: a discussion on
defending research independence in an era of political interference

How can researchers remain independent in the face of mounting political attacks on academic freedom? What challenges does Open Science face today?

Come join us for a round-table discussion about the consequences of increasing attempts of politicians, particularly in the US, but examples abound world-wide, to control research agendas, restrict certain fields of inquiry, and undermine scientific expertise. What can we, the academic community do to protect our fundamental freedoms and advance Open Science principles?

We offer some cookies but please bring your own coffee. No registration needed. We will be located in room L2-02-15 (view map). A warm welcome!
