We are currently living in the century of digital platforms. While we are rapidly moving into our cities, office environments, and screens, we are increasingly directing our attention towards global services and flows available through digital platforms like Amazon, Spotify, Facebook, Klarna, etc.
What does this mean for us as consumers and producers, and what does it mean for the development of our places and communities?
This workshop will present and discuss how digital platforms are fundamentally changing our places and communities, and how municipalities, as well as businesses and entrepreneurs, can utilize these technologies to evolve more rapidly and transition towards attractive sustainable communities. During the workshop, successful examples of location-based digital platforms, which municipalities have utilized to address societal challenges, will be demonstrated and discussed.
Target audience: Location and business developers in municipalities and regions, as well as companies and organizations interested in digital location-based platforms and services.
This workshop is organized as part of Digital Impact North's workshop series Thursday Insights. Every Thursday, Digital Impact North offers a unique opportunity to delve into the latest trends in IT, AI, and digital transformation.
